Fortune 500 companies and brands such as Allstate, Deloitte, Hewlett-Packard, JetBlue, and Merrill Lynch are a few notables on Robyn’s rich list of clientele.
Once an extremely shy child (nicknamed “Shy”), Robyn’s personal story of courage and focus is what drives her mission of helping people shine and is why she is described by many as “warm, insightful and authentic.” Prior to founding SpeakEtc, a boutique communications skills consultancy, Robyn worked as a professional actress, appearing on stage in New York City, as well as in television commercials and dramas. She has also provided voiceover talent for radio advertisements and served as a writer for two daytime dramas.
As a past contributor to American Express Open Forum and as a frequent expert guest on HuffPost live, Robyn has been an influential voice for empowerment and maintains a strong social media presence. In addition, she has been a contributing media expert in the PRNEWS Media Relations Guidebook, and crafted a personal essay that became a part of the published anthology Dancing at the Shame Prom.
Robyn is a current member of the prestigious New York Women in Communications, Inc. (NYWICI), Savor the Success, Step Up Women's Network, Writers Guild of America East, Screen Actors Guild, Actors Equity and American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (SAG-AFTRA). Additionally, Robyn served as an appointed member and committee chair of Manhattan's Community Board Five for several years.
As principal of SpeakEtc, Robyn gives inspirational talks around the country, coaches leaders, and does communication consulting for a range of corporations including Con Edison and PayPal. She is also a senior consultant for Speak-First, a global communications training company, as well as a senior trainer and executive coach for Leadership Transformation Group. Robyn and her husband Ken reside in New York City and are proud parents of Nolan, a Yale University graduate turned professional baseball pitcher.
